Miercoles Po! When someone asks, "what are you doing this Wedsnesday?", I smile and say "Miercoles Po" (Miercoles=wednesday, Po=a common slang term used by students and young preople in Santiago). Every Wednesday there is a huge party which happens at a different club. Tonight we are headed to a safe area near our hostel where the party will be held in a discoteque. I am sure they will be playing Madonna hits and other favorites of our older blog followers. HAHA DAD!
We had very little luck finding a cool place to hang last night. We started at a very nice sushi bar, but the drinks were becoming costly. We left in search of some night life. We wondered into a seemingly normal club to have some drinks. We sat on a balcony above another Chilean couple. The mood must have struck them because after my second Corona, she climbed on top of him for some super inappropriate "dancing"(if you know what I mean(sex)). Julia was disgusted and I couldn`t finish that third Corona fast enough. We raced to the bar to cash out and fled the scene. Safe back at our hostel, we finished our night quietly.
Hopefully Miercoles Po will be cool and exciting, I heard that this club caters to a younger/student crowd, so we will fit right in! Peace and love.
