Tour of Santiago and Some Shopping

Hi Everyone!

Today was a great day of travelling around the city on a Tour Bus. It was called Turistik and their website is here: http://www.turistik.cl/productos/santiagoturistik/circuitosantiagoturistik.htm
It was a double decker bus and brought us to 11 of the most popular sites in Santiago, including the Museum of Fine Arts, San Cristobal (giant statue that looks over the city and we took a chair lift like tram to the top), mercado central (freshest seafood market), la moneda (chilean version of the white house), amongst others.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
George and I in front of the huge tour bus (my eyes are shut but whatever hehe) :)

Nina and George exchanging jokes and having fun speaking English together

The Twins are reunited!!

George loving Chile :)

La Moneda

San Cristobal

How we got to the top of the hill where the statue was (George was happilly snapping
pics while I freaked out from the heights and the teeny cable we were attached too)

The National Museum of Fine Arts:

Our street purchases for the day (Shout out to Ju, thinking of you when we went scarf shopping!):

How to wear them Chilean style (and our liquor purchases for the night as well):

The most important mall in all of South America (so says our tour guide and tour book). It was HUGE, over 200 stores including all of the American ones:

And thats all for now! We have many more pictures and information from today but our time is running out at the cyber cafe. Tomorrow we are leaving Santiago to go to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. These are two towns by the coast that are home to many Chilean´s summer houses and has a great night life (casinos, beaches, lots of americans). We are going to stay in another hostel there for 3-4 days and then come back to the city to meet up with Nina. We will then make our way down South to Puerto Montt and Temuco to visit our Chilean family. Stay tuned for more pics and updates!!

Much love,
Julia and George

p.s Ju Auger, We got some great street art pictures to come!
Everyone else, please send your request for places to visit and we will send pics!
